'More with us than with him' is the same claim Elisha made at Dothan and it is equally unsupported by anything visible. Note the sequence in the chapter: preparation, then encouragement. Hezekiah does not offer the promise as a substitute for the wall. The contrast drawn is between 'an arm of flesh' and God, which the next verse spells out — not between action and faith.
