1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing and using Quiethaven, you accept and agree to be bound by these terms.
2. Use License
Permission is granted to use Quiethaven for personal, non-commercial purposes. You may not modify or copy the materials, use them for commercial purposes, attempt to decompile or reverse-engineer the software, or remove copyright notices.
3. User Account
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and password and for all activity under your account.
4. Subscription and Payment
Subscriptions are billed through Apple. They renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Pricing is shown in the app prior to purchase. Refunds are issued by Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com. The standard Apple EULA at apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula applies in addition to these terms.
5. Content
Quiethaven provides access to biblical texts, devotionals, and educational content. Bundled scripture editions are public domain (KJV, Russian Synodal, Church Slavonic, Reina-Valera Antigua 1909). We strive for accuracy but do not guarantee the completeness of all content.
6. AI chat
The AI chat is an automated tool for spiritual reflection. It is NOT a substitute for a priest, doctor, therapist, or licensed counselor. AI responses may be inaccurate. Do not rely on AI output for medical, legal, or psychological decisions. Each AI message has a Report option you can use to flag content for moderator review.
7. Pastoral Counseling (Real-Time Audio)
Quiethaven offers a Pastoral Counseling feature that enables real-time audio communication between users and verified pastoral counselors. By using this feature you agree to the following:
- All pastoral counselors are verified by our moderation team before being listed.
- Audio sessions are NOT recorded, stored, or cached on our servers.
- Audio is encrypted in transit using SRTP (WebRTC).
- This service is pastoral counseling, NOT sacramental confession — no sacramental seal (Sigillum Confessionis) applies.
- Quiethaven is NOT a substitute for professional mental health counseling, therapy, or in-person pastoral care.
- If you experience a mental health crisis, contact emergency services immediately (988 in the US, 112 in the EU and Russia).
- Users may report or block counselors at any time; reports are reviewed within 48 hours.
- Counselors who violate community guidelines will be permanently removed.
8. Content Moderation & Age Requirement
- You must be at least 17 years old to use the Pastoral Counseling feature.
- Quiethaven employs a moderation team to review counselor verification and user reports.
- Prohibited behavior includes: harassment, harmful advice, solicitation of personal information, impersonation of clergy, and any illegal activity.
- Quiethaven reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these guidelines.
9. Disclaimer
The materials on Quiethaven are provided on an "as is" basis. Quiethaven makes no warranties, expressed or implied, and disclaims all other warranties. We do not guarantee the qualifications, accuracy, or appropriateness of advice provided by pastoral counselors or by the AI. You use these features at your own risk.
