Come, and let us build up the wall — Nehemiah includes himself in the work before asking anyone else. He then tells them about the hand of God upon him.

Set a man over the congregation, that they be not as sheep which have no shepherd — Moses' request when told he would not enter the land. He asks for a successor rather than a reprieve.

“Be ye followers of me, even as I also am of Christ.” — 1 Corinthians 11:1 (KJV)

Be ye followers of me, even as I also am of Christ — the qualifier keeps the imitation from terminating on Paul. Leaders are described as intermediate.
